i have some avi files on my computer takes up needed space i looked for program to convert but they all to confusin
does any one no of an easy program that converts avi to mpeg without loosing the good qlity so i can burn them a 2 dvd/cd

Use TMPGEnc (http://www.tmpg-inc.com/product/tsve.html) to change the video to a dvd compliant format and then use NERO to burn it.

do u no how long it would take to convert a 700mb avi (or about 700) is it fast is my real question with good qlity

I think that program makes an estimation about how much time it takes on your PC, it depends a lot from the PC used to code too. I can only say you to make a little test, you might cancel anytime if it takes too much time :p

Depends on your PC specs. Would take from an hour to weeks! :rolleyes:

Mine takes like 45 minutes for 1:30 movie.

Depends on what resolution your originals is.

Video Size = 640*480 -> smaller size.
- Hard to be detected as your screen is smaller.

Video Size = 640*480 -> bigger size.
- You will see some blur on screen.

Same with the audio as well.

Note :
You can test them with yourself on some short length video. Then you will understand what I meant by that.

yes of course every video does that(atleast all the ones i've come across)except for maybe videos on the tv cuz they stretch the image and whatnot to get good quality and size.
