epsxe - is there a way to keep the disc spinning?

hello,

my epsxe program works very very well. im using version 1.6.

at the moment, im trying to play final fantasy 8 disc one. the disc is freshy burnt, so it is in perfect condition.

i was wondering if there is a setting that allows you to keep the disc spinning? instead of the game lagging until the disc starts to read again.

please help

it really is driving me insane

any advice on settings would be really appreciated!!

sound plugin: ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2.
cd rom plugin: ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.2

I'm not really sure there is.. Unless there is some obscure utility out there.

The best option would be to rip an ISO of the disc and use a program like Daemon Tools to mount the ISO and play it with the emulator. Or if the emulator supports loading Disc Images you could bypass the whole daemon tools step and just make an image of the game
