Is there anyway of running roms in a webbrowser? so for example i can setup a website and when that website loads you can play the game in the browser window. for example flash or java applet?
Yeah, if you write an emulator to do so. Most web languages will not give you direct access to hardware so its not going to be easy. I think I have seen a few java emulators. They may work on the web... Dont expect much performance from it. HTML5 would be the best bet but its so new I doubt anyone has tried yet. If you are thinking more along the lines of a port of an existing emulator, I have not seen that.
Vizzed is a website i use.It can play Nes,GB,GBC,GG,2600,WS,NGP,SMS without the plugin and the rest SNES,N64,NGPC,WSC,32X,Genesis,Famicon disk system,GBA,and Lynx with the plugin. It IS a awesome website and it even supports a controller.
