I need help

Hi guys, i need help, I play Pokemon Red Fire Version on VBA. And I got all the cheats working. The only one that is not working for me is the cheat in which I choose which pokemon I want to spawn next, at grassy areas etc. (you know which one am talking about.) I just can't get it to work and I followed this videos steps one by one, It just won't work. If you can explain me step by step what to do I would really appreciate it. Here is the video that I used and followed to be able to get this code working and it just didn't.
