Hello there! I have searched around for these answers but couldn't find them. I'm sorry if I missed any of them.

1. It is legal to download the ROM if you actually own the game, correct?

2. Are these the emulators people use to record the tool assisted speed runs I see everywhere?

1. Yes, it is illegal even if you own the game. If you rip the game by yourself, it is not illegal.

2. I think so.
