Emulator Problem: old pc. need to fill with games for 2 players simultaneously

Hello good people!
in the near future i will be employed on truck and have long breaks. I have an old laptop (AMILO A1640 = SEMPRON 3000, VGA SIS GRAPHICS M760 128 RAM, MEMORY 896MB) and 2 gamepads. one for me and one for my coleague.
but i dont have any games to play with my pal! i've tried mameUI emulator but mortal kombat 4 lags. can you give me a ideea with what games could do the job?!

don't use mame, unless you want to play 2d stage based games. Mame can also be a pain to get used to with all the versions and what not. You should be able to play most emulator psx and below with that set up.
