I'm glad you can get Hogs of War working
I cannot get the third mission 'Trench Warfare' to load.
epsxe, pSX and PSXfin all give the same error.

Why test it ? The pSX and Xebra is much higher compatibility. ePSXe is the second high compatibility.

Hey I know this might be bumping an old thread but just saying for anyone who is having trouble getting Ape Escape to work (title screen not allowing the new game or load option to be selected) this game has a copy protection that needs to be bypassed in order to progress past this point. Can't give details on where/how to get the patch (for the ISO) but it is available if you look hard enough.

Also a good way to test for sure if you think its just your controller thats causing the problem would be to try it out in another game that uses the analog pads. You could also try it in a different emu (I used ePSXe and pSX, both with same results at the main menu before patching).

Hope this helps someone as I probably spent a good 2-3 hours figuring it out.
