Killer Instinct, ARGH!

Right, I know they're are threads on this, but let me explain.

I use Mame32k. I've put the KI ROM in the "roms" folder, put the CHD in a new folder, called "kinst" in "roms", but when I "Audit all games" or just try to play it, it says the CHD is missing and so is the file "u98-l14d". But the file "u98-l15d" is there yet that's not needed, it doesn't come up in the window when it says the files which are needed. Here's a picture so it's a little more clearer, you might not need it, but whatever (I know you don't extract the rom file of kinst, but that was just to show what files are in there). I've been trying to get this going since 10:30 this morning, it's driving me nuts. Your help would be appreciated so greatly and I would respect you for life. Please help.

You can play it with the files you have with Clone Mame.

Killer Instinc (v1.5) => kinst.zip => parent, main set

If you can't find "u98-l15d" Rom file, just use the "kinst14" rom set

About the CHD, take a look here

EDIT:

If you've check it everything (as I think ;)), try to audit "kinst" on Mame32. If you get a message like this:
kinst.chd WRONG CHECKSUMS:
EXPECTED: SHA1(a37a2c5e52ea936a715210d237874dd573bb002f) MD5(6d4c2f152c9a18ab3a9b05b8804306a8)
FOUND: SHA1(0000000000000000000000000000000000000000) MD5(6d4c2f152c9a18ab3a9b05b8804306a8)
kinst.dif UNSUPPORTED CHD VERSION
it means you need to update your CHD to the new format. Place "chdman.exe" that should have every Mame where is your "kinst.chd". Then use the following command, either from a batch file (.bat , .cmd) or from the command line (Start -> cmd). Please rename your "kinst.chd" file just by the case because it might be overwriten. I've renamed it as "kinst_old.chd" below):
chdman -update kinst_old.chd kinst.chd
If everything works OK, you will get a correct "kinst.chd" file. Proceed the same with the other one. Good luck :cool:
