DC++ and BitTorrent.

Tried all of those (exept DC++)

and I have to say Limewire is the best rugular P2P,(I have limewire PRO and I never really noticed any difference from regular Limewire, exept now every time you start it, it says your connection is "Turbo charged". But I used to get that with regular limewire also(sometimes).)
But its still the best one out there.

And the best Bittorrent client is Bitcomet (or Bitlord,which is based on the source code from Bitcomet)
OR Azureus.

I'm gonna try DC++ next

I'm sorry but Bittorrent's the way to go, or MIRC, but Kazaa and Limewire both suck ass

ok well i average 70-85 kb/s with limewire.so go figure:p

and my connection is 512 k

Jale
March 29th, 2008, 18:44
The maximum for 512 Kbps is 64 KB/s, unless you have 768 Kbps instead, which is a maximum of 90 KB/s.

Utorrent is the best to date though I acknowlede Azureus greatness, Utorrent stand outs because it doesn't requires Java to run.

I've always had strange issues with Utorrent personally.. There are periods where it will run fine, then inexplicably simply turning it on will bring down the Internet for the whole network in my house. Can't even load web pages faster than molasses

Jale

That's strange. I've never had a single problem with uTorrent. Well, except a minor issue with the DHT nodes.

Zach

Well I'm gonna give it a try again sometime soon..

I've upgraded our new WR150N router to DD-WRT and its helped out out Internet performance a bit already.. Hopefully it will cure a problem where we'd have to reset the router 1 or more times a day for no fucking reason.

And maybe even UTorrent will be have better.. One can dream :happy:
