Emulator Problem: NullDC not remembering controller selection

Hello All.....Have my emulation setup almost complete except for this annoying issue with nulldc. I have two Xbox 360 mortal kombat arcade sticks that I use for my main controllers. All were mapped perfectly and working fine to roughly 6 emulators: mame, project64, Nestopia, kega, snes and nulldc. Since my pals and I are old goldeneye junkies on n64 I bought 2 may flash n64 to USB adapters. Got those working fine however when I launched nulldc I noticed that instead of the controller mapped to "mk 360 fight stick" which is how my PC recognizes my arcade sticks, said USB controller. Under the purpur plugin I can still select the fight sticks and map them correctly however eve time I close nulldc it forgets them. Please help
