When I installed Windows XP Service pack 2 I lost my Windows XP Pro boot screen. All I got now is Windows XP boot screen. is there a way I can get the Windows XP Pro boot screen back :eek:

If you have Service Pack 2 installed, the "Professional" line disappears. That's completely normal. Even if the line is not there, your Windows XP is still professional, but better than the normal and Service Pack 1 ones.

Yes, but playing with boot screens is dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

Its never worth messing around with the boot screen.

I tried it once and Windows wouldn't load, so i had to boot in safe-mode and undo all the changes I made.

I could see what i did wrong so i gave up.

My boot screen displays for like... 5 seconds.. Is it really that important to change them these days?
