    Default Windows XP Pro

    When I installed Windows XP Service pack 2 I lost my Windows XP Pro boot screen. All I got now is Windows XP boot screen. is there a way I can get the Windows XP Pro boot screen back

    If you have Service Pack 2 installed, the "Professional" line disappears. That's completely normal. Even if the line is not there, your Windows XP is still professional, but better than the normal and Service Pack 1 ones.

    So I can't download them somewhere and install the old boot screen for Windows XP Pro

    Yes, but playing with boot screens is dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

    Its never worth messing around with the boot screen.

    I tried it once and Windows wouldn't load, so i had to boot in safe-mode and undo all the changes I made.

    I could see what i did wrong so i gave up.

    My boot screen displays for like... 5 seconds.. Is it really that important to change them these days?

    If you not familiar with this, you could try but not if you depend on your pc and cannot afford to be down!
