Gameshark troubles

Aight, so I've been playing Pokemon Emerald (Im wicked badical ) on GBA emulator for a while, and I've been trying to get the Gameshark option of it to work so I can catch me a Mew or a Lugia.

So we know that the codes are written as:

XXXXXXXXXXX
YYYYYYYYYYY

And they require a Master code and a DMA to use...problem is, i input certain codes and nothing happens....can anyone help me out?????

I saw the rules and heard that we must not give links , so i say how to do.
First copy the Master code or (M).
Then open Visual Boy , then the game then Load your saved game(if any),then Press "ALT + C + C"
There Cheats menu will open , then go to "Code Breaker" and paste the cheats copied , then copy the code for mew and paste , and you will find it only at the starting grass(Where you will get your starter) or Route 101.

Also your cheats may be wrong , so try these in Game Shark.
For MEW copy all these.

Remember tha tone at a time , dont try to get two , so enter one cheat and then catch and save and close .
Again open then enter the other

Edit: I was able to get the Lugia code to work in my old saved game (inside Victory Road, random wild PKMN), but with my new saved gave (on a different computer) I go back to route 101 and it doesnt show up.

Is the fact that I run different versions of VBA on each computer a factor?
