Noob Help

I have installed VBA, on my laptop and now I am totally stuck on how to get it to actully work. I got some games and have them in a seperate folder, but when I go to the "open" on VBA it doesnt see them, but If i type in the file name it finds it. Only problem is that after doing this and opening it, I get an error saying that its an unsupported file. The games are listed as a SAV file so obvoiusly its in the wrong format. Only problem is that I really dont know what to do from this point and any help would be very welcomed thank you.

You cant open .sav files because thats not the game. Those are save files of
your game. Games are usually .gba or .zip if they ziped them.
