Killer Instinct won't work

I'm trying to play Killer Instinct but when I try running it I can get an error message saying:

kinst.chd NOT FOUND

Anyone know how to run it? It seems like alot of games are missing files.

Do you have the rom for the game?

Yup I got the Rom for the game and I tried reinstalling it and I get that same error. I'm jus wondering if anyone else can play killer instinct successfully.

You need two files for that game. One is around 91.1 mb I think and the other 4.3mb. The 91mb file is kinst.chd.

This file has to be located in the "kinst" folder under the roms folder if you are using MAME.

a .chd is an image of the arcadegame. Some of the newer games require these to be downloaded in order to run the game itself. so the chd file is not a rom, its a hard drive image file needed by the rom.
