Thread: CDI extensions, Daemon, and regions

Default CDI extensions, Daemon, and regions

Okay, my friend has a problem with his emu. He's downloaded several, actually, and can't get any of them to play the ROM because it's got a .CDI extension. I would just download an emu or two and figure out how to use Daemon with it, but I don't have any ROMs to test out, so I figured I'd ask here.

I need to know what emu he should be using in order to play a .CDI file, and how to use Daemon tools along with it to play the image. Also, does it matter if it's a PAL region game?

You can use Chankast or NullDC for .cdi files. They are both Sega Dreamcast emulators. IIRC you can load .cdi files directly from them without the use of Daemon Tools.
