Dragon Force 2/SSF

I'm getting a strange and annoying issue.

I'm running Dragon Force 2 directly from the disc on SSF version 7? I think. It runs great but If I try to do a battle with more than like 120 guys on screen total, the game will crash right when a fight is supposed to start. Like if one general has 70 guys and the other 50, usually the game will crash. or If one has 100 and the other more than 30 or so, the game will crash. It doesn't even load the fight.

Any suggestions at all? At the very least is there another emulator that might run this game flawlessly? PLEASE any help is appreciated.

Saturn emulation is not as advanced as other systems, because it is a difficult system to work on. This means not a lot of developers as well.

It may be that it just can't handle it yet
