Whenever I try to run Gens on my computer, it looks like it's loading, but then it just sits there. Then I have to use Task Manager to shut it off because it's not responding! What do I do to make it run again?

what version of windows are you running, and what version of directX.
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1, DirectX 9.0c
I'm experiencing this too! I have absolutely no clue what has caused it. Yesterday, Gens was running fine. I haven't changed anything. Now today, it does not work at all; it locks up when you try to start it up, just like the OP states. I've tried deleting Gens, trying older versions, and even the derivative Gens+ doesn't work either. I'm using Windows XP SP2 with DirectX 9.0c.
I'd really like to get Gens working again, as I very much prefer it to Kega or Gens32!
Has no one else experienced this?
yes thats y i just loaded kfusion instead it wont crash if it does rarely does it do it clearer grafix 2.![]()
Still no solutions for this problem?
May be a config issue. Have you tried removing it from your system completely and doing a fresh install with the latest build?.
Yes, I've tried everything. Gens and Gens+ suffer from this "hanging"/locking up problem, Gens32 locks up (and to be frank I'm not comfortable with using a program created by someone who classes "2.x" as older, revision-wise, than "1.x"). At the moment I'm stuck using Kega Fusion, which I do not enjoy as it doesn't have the right "feel" of playing the Genesis.
