ARE UR EMULATORS SAFE TO DOWNLOAD?

im new to this website and im looking for an emulator that contains arcade games (Marvel vs Capcom 1 & 2, Metalslug series, etc.) But i dont know if it is safe to download. Please tell me what is the best emulator that works and contains the games i just mentioned.

The emulators on this site are safe to download. For arcade emulation, try MAME, Kawaks or Nebula.

thanks for replying. Now how can i start using the Emulator, ive downloaded MAME 0.114 n asked me to specify where to extract the files to so i made a file n put them in there now what should i do after that ive already clicked on all the files n i dont see the emulator opening. One of the files i downloaded says "MAME is a console aplication, you should launch it from a command prompt." "please consult the documantation for more information." "would you like to open the documantation?" is that a good thing should i do that or what should i do please help.
