Writing an article about Emulation in general

Hi guys,

I'm currently writing a feature article for a PC tech website that deals with arcade and 16-bit computer emulation, taking in the software technology, history, legal issues and the like.

I've been trying to source an online/email interview with some of the MAME or WinUAE guys for reference material for the site.

However I've had no luck using 'contact us' links etc.

Can any of the forum moderators / site staff help out here? Put me in touch with someones email address - or alternatively - any developers or subject matter experts in the field of emulation care to submit to a short interview and answer some questions?

I don't think anyone here really knows how to get in touch with the MAME guys, or other emulation folks. Which makes me look bad since I run a retro gaming magazine, but that's another story.

either Myself, Lefteris D, or GHD Pro are probably the most qualified when it comes to discussing the older emulation community, dealing with the Arcade/16-bit era. But to be honest, that isn't really saying much (at least on my part). GHD Pro is probably the most knowledgeable among us, but I don't want to put words in his mouth or auto volunteer him for anything.

I don't want to give out any e-mail addresses but I will certainly make the others aware of this thread.

But if you have anything not very intimate that a well studied person might be able to answer, throw a PM my way and I'll give it a shot. I'd answer anything I could. I won't call myself an expert, but I've been around the block on a few obscure issues.

I'm not sure if I can really help, I've never really been in contact with any emulator author. I wouldn't mind helping you out with a few questions myself, but I'm not sure if can answer them: I wouldn't call myself an expert on emulation.

Most MAMEdevs hang out at the MAMEworld forums. You can try posting there or PMing some of them.
