Breath of Fire IV on pSX 1.10

ok so I am playign BoF IV on pSX 1.10 and it mainly runs fine but skips every once and a while, and its on an image so its not a disc thing it just won't run perfectly smoothly. It happens more at certain times then others, liek when I play the music game in the fairy village it always skips and its impossible to do good cause it skips and messes me up. Anyone else whose played this does the same thign hapen to them and could you fix it? I don't understand why it happens it can't be that my comp can't run it, 2.2 amd ghz, 1gb ram, 128mb ati all-in-wonder. what the hell is goign on maybe I have some settings I can change to stop this? I have them on default right now. Can anyone help?

try epsxe. It's a much better emulator imo.

pSX is a 'true' emulator, which tries to emulate the PSX. The others are mainly trying to get the games to work.
Please don't get me wrong, ePSXe is a great emulator. It's just that they're both good emulators and you can't really compare them.

Breath of fire 4 ran worse in epsxe thats why I am using pSX
