Thread: WinUAE Gamepad issue

    Default WinUAE Gamepad issue

I`m using a Playstation 2 adapter "Gamepad Pro USB" with WinUAE 1.0.0. When I try to configure the controller, the buttons aren't recognized properly. When I first configured them it worked fine, I made a few changes to the button assignments (so that 'X' was fire instead of 'Triangle' etc.) and then WinUAE stopped recognizing the buttons properly. Eg: Fire now only works if I press button 7 ('Left Shoulder Button 1') instead of Button 3 ('X') etc. But when I check the controller device properties, Button 3 is still button 3. This leads me to believe it's a WinUAE problem rather than my controller driver. Any ideas please? It works ok if I set the controller to compatibility mode but I want to include some other keys for specific games. Thanks, Pete

    Default Re: WinUAE Gamepad issue

Just realized that it was my controller driver after all. For some reason, when I re-configured WinUAE keymap, my joypads default buttons got screwed up (changed)!
