Help Linking Pokemon Games Over Internet

i know i already posted this in the other topic but oh well.

OK me and my friend are trying to play pokemon over the internet using VBALink. we both have it running and he puts my ip into his connect thing and i start the server and it says were connected. then we go to battle in the pokemon thing and it says connection error and it makes us reset our games.

ive read that vbalink is supposed to come with somethnig called vbaserver but i dont seem to have that file. i downloaded all versions of the vbalink to try and find it but with no success. and i downloaded the "modded vbaserver" thing on the website but coudnt figure out how to work it and there are no instructions anywhere.

i have looked at the instructions on using the other vbaserver.exe which i dont have, but it doesnt help with the modded one. and i have read every faq/guide on the vba link website so dont link me to something there, nothing on their site fixes my problem.

and we tried playing other games as well like zelda four swords and advance wars but nothing worked. any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: No, the link I gave you worked perfectly and something is not right about you. It worked perfectly, yes.

If nobody cannot answered to your question then we cannot helped you out. Because the link most of us knows about did worked fine even for me.
