Audio AdvMame AdvMenu

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could assist in sorting out an audio problem I am having?

I have AdvMame and AdvMenu running in a PIV 2.4GHz machine with 1G RAM, an Ultimarc VGA card and an 15KHz Arcade Monitor and Soundblaster/Ensoniq PCI Audio Card. For the most part everything seems to be working fine. I boot from DOS straight into AdvanceMenu and can play all the ROMS I have installed.

The issue I am having is that the audio in every game is distorted. I have no idea why, I am using the only audio drivers I know that work with the soundcard I use (Ensoniq PCI64 Audio drivers).

Has anyone come across this problem before or have an idea of what might be causing my grief?

Just to clarify the sound effects of all games are fine. It is the actual music tracks that accompany each game that come through distorted.
