GITS on N6600, pete'sGL 1.76 HELP!!!

mkay so i cant get gits to run well on my machine
is it the game or is there smth im missing?
i've scrolled through different video drivers and options and the intro/menu/movies run well but the game's 3d rendering is all broken up and surreal looking giving an fps of 20-30 sometimes 60 but in that comes in random chunks and rarely
I have a pent4 2,6ghz and an nvidia n6600top card... mby its some driver problem...
