Best controller for Nestopia (or other emulator)?

Hello all,

I am planning on downloading and getting started with Nestopia (it appears that that is the most highly recommended emulator). I would like to know what the best controller is for that emulator, or for other emulators. I don't want to go buy a controller and have it turn out that I would have been better off with a different one! Thanks a lot in advance. Happy holidays!

The PSX pad in combination with a PSX-to-USB adapter is a good choice for most emulators.
