black screen when using pcsx20.9.2

I'm using pcsx20.9.2 and I got the bios for it and all the other plugins but when i try to start a game it just comes up with a black screen then exits out and says there was an error. can anyone help me with this?

what are your computer specs?

and what plugin configurations are you using? and what game are you trying to play?

intel celeron d340, 120gb hd, 512mb, 128mb ati 9250, xp home
right before it runs it says rom2 not found and erom not found.
the plugins im using are

the games im trying to play are atv off road fury 2, need for speed hot pursuit 2,
defender, starwars battlefront, gran turismo 4

your computer is no where near good enough to run any games. You may be lucky to get run the BIOS.

How fast of a computer do u need?
yea i guess its too slow when it lags just trying to run the bios.

You also have to keep in mind that PS2 emulation is nowhere near complete....

No. There won't be one for a while.

for starters, get a dual core processor.. try the intel core 2 duos.

You need about 1-2 gigs of ram and a decent graphics card that supports pixel shader 2.0 with around 256mb

keep in mind though that even with a pretty good computer, most games are still not playable at full speeds.

for your situation, atv offroad fury 2 is completely not playable. You can only get ingame for nps hot pursuit 2. Same for star wars battlefront. And you can only get the intro for gt4.
