It is.I don't know exactly what kind of cable is needed though.
You will need a Gameshark cheat device, a link cable and special program. Once you have everything the dumping can be done.
The same process can be done in both Playstation and Playstation 2.

Well there are other wayz, but the same cost is involved so you either need a cheat device or Swap Magic Original, you then a PS1 game, Why, becuase when a PS1 game is put into the PS2 it goes to the memory card and looks for a file called TITlE.db if it finds it, it will either load the programz/elf files on it. Then you need an elf called Bios Dump, install that and it will transfer the files to your computer, the reason you can't just download it is that Sony would have a lawsuit on the site.
Note: The bios is usally used to play a PS2 emulator

The Bios is called SCPH1000
search on google and you should find a load of downloads for it.
now I would like to say you could have had this info a while ago if I could post without signing up. but I got bored anywho so here is a possable answer for you. it is faster and simpler than dumping it from your PS2.
SCPH1000 is for PS1 and SCPH10000 is for PS2.
