problems mounting CHD files

hey peeps. how do i mount a chd rom so it will work in mame32fx? i try doing it as i would a normal rom but it wont have any of it.

Just put the CHD in your ROM directory or in a directory within the ROM directory matching the ROM name.
Example: Killer Instinct. Put kinst.zip in your ROM directory and kinst.chd in ROMs/kinst

ok, lets say for example that i have a file kinst.chd 93 387 KB , is that all i need? i read something about some zip file.
