memory card help

Hi,I have just got the newest version of the ps emulator and I dont know how to work the memory card and quick save system,someone help.I have psx version 1.9

Its really simple Open your pSX then click

File>>Configuration>>Memory Cards

Then click those 3 dots ... and type in memcard or whatever you want to name it. It will create a memcard for you.

as for the quick save i think its

F6 = F1
F7 = F2
F8 = F3
F9 = F4
F10 = F5

Meaning press F6 to quick save in the F6 slot then press F1 to load the F6 slot and so on.

...Then what do we do? I've created a memory card, and there's an obvious difference when I try to save, however, I'm still unable to load a game... It says therehas been nothing saved in mem card slot 1.
