Default Nintendo 64 Emulation on the DS?

So I did some snooping around... and I found out that you can get a GBA emulator for the DS, but is there a 64 emulator or anyone heard anything about it? Is it software based? Hardware based?

I though the Nintendo DS could read Gameboy Advance games already

Well, never heard of a Nintendo 64 emulator for the DS.

Ah, sorry I meant there was a emulator for GBA for the GBA..... which means you can play .gba files on your GBA.

I always thought you were able to play GBA games on a flashcart(or card :S) without the need of any extra files or program to emulate... Maybe your talking about a .gba file loader, which is different then an emulator, as the emulator acts like the hardware being emulated. The loader just starts the game if it's compatible.

I also seriously doubt the Nintendo DS will have the capabilities of emulating a console such as the N64. Most of the times the hardware that will use the emulating program must be atleast 5 (give or take) times stronger then the the original console/hardware. Doubt the DS meets the requirments and if it does... I doubt anybody would code a N64 emulator strong enough to play the games at a playable speed, which is usually a minimum of about 40-50FPS.
Ok, now I really don't have anything to put in here -.-

I read a rumor(don’t quote me, a rumor) that the DS is tike the GBA in the sense that GBA was mainly snes code. Only the DS was n64 code(plus a bit more Capable). This would make it easier to emulate. I do agree it may not have the power. Like I said only rumors.

As it was stated there, it's near impossible for a N64 emulator to run on a DS. The DS is just a BIT more powerful then the N64. If there was an emulator, it would basically overload the DS or run way to slow to be playable at all.
Sorry dude, just ain't gonna happen, the DS doesn't have the capabilities to emulate such a system.
