problem with cd plugin for epsxe

the plugin im using is SaPu's cd rom plugin version 1.0 and games run but in fast forward for some F****ed up reason. ive tried other plugins like Xevens cdr driver version 0.93 and P.E.ops. cdr driver version 1.4 and they dont work at all.
any suggestions? thnx
