VBA Gameshark codes?

Ok, so I went to gameshark.com, got copied the codes and whatnot, but a) why is the field gray and b) how do I make it a file to import?

If you got some codes for gameshark then all you do is click on

Cheats>>Cheat List...

And then click Gameshark and add the code and descripton in the next box that opens up.

ok I did that but the codes aren't working.
Do you know any place I can get good codes?

Yeh you could get good codes from Gamefaqs.com i have always used them and i have never found a bad code.

The game is Pokemon Fire red.

For future reference this is what you do....

Type in www.gamefaqs.com in your web browser...

on the top right of the page you will see Platform jumper click that and select
your Console/handheld (example:: Playstation or GBA)

Then on the new screen select the first letter of the game (example::
Pokemon Fire Red click the 'P' letter.)

Scroll down and find the game and to the right of it you will see, FAQS, CODES, REVIEWS and BOARDS click FAQS (only for Gameshark, Codebreaker, ProAction Replay and Game Genie codes... In game codes will be under codes)

Once in the FAQS section Scroll down to find the Gameshark, Codebreaker, ProAction Replay and Game Genie codes.

In this case POKEMON FIRE RED you will not use Gameshark codes but CODEBREAKER codes.

Note:: When you are using Code Breaker codes you MUST enter the Master code for ENCOUNTERS in order for any encounter code to work.
