never mind, it was a controller problem it was an emulator problem. i was using epsxe, and changed to psxeven and that fixed my problem. i thought i would post this as a reply in case anyone else has the same problem. but thanx anyway

ePSXe works fine... Thats the Emu that i use i wouldnt ever think of using a diff one... Before you play a game ou have to confgure the controls....

    just click..

    Config>> Game Pad>> Pad 1

and configure it the way you like it..

I tried that but for some reason when i start it up my keyboard doesn't respond.my configurations are as follows:

    scph1001
    P.E.Op.S soft driver 1.16
    P.E.Op.S dsound audio driver 1.9
    epsxe cdr wnt/w2k core 1.5.2

and when i configure the pads there are three options:

    digital only
    digital/analog
    disabled

    i have it on digital

    ?????

is there something wrong with any of that?

oh ya i also have three files and i don't know what they are or where they should be

    burutter.dll ; espxeCutorTool.dll ; and epsxeCutorStuff.dll
