does anyone think theres a good possibility that the Wii will be able to run sega games taht are cd based, ya know because thats supposed to be the biggest thing about the system backwards compatibility and emulation?

"Backward compatibility" isn't the correct term. The only backward compatibility that Wii has is GameCube, because you can use the its disc and devices to play.

"Emulation" isn't the correct term either for the Virtual Console, because not all, but a "best of" games will be available. These are the systems that the Virtual Console will operate.

    • Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)
    • Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)
    • Nintendo 64 (N64)
    • Sega Genesis
    • TurboGraphx.

Ahh brings up a point for me to ask a question here.... I quit reading all the updates on the Wii awhile back and last i knew the Wii was only going to support ROMS that were Nintendo based.. Like Mario, possibly a few Capcom games but exclude Square, and that means no FF series..... Anyone no anything about this?

The terms are not incorrect, the application of the terms is.
