FFVII not loading saved game

hi, i'm new to the board and i am having an issue. i finally got my ps emu working, and i am trying to load a save game file that i downloaded from the following site:

i put the file in my sstates folder and it doesn't even show up when i go to the load screen in the game. does anyone know why it's doing this?

i can't start the game from disc one because the first disc is cracked, and the third is too, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated. i'm not sure if i configured something wrong, but the game itself works, it just won't load that particular file, it's like it isn't even there.

if anyone else has a save game file that could start at disc two i would appreciate that also.

I'ts a saved game not a saved state what emu are you using?

how does the game work if the discs are cracked?

just the first disc is cracked, the second disc works, but i got the game loading now. i saw final fantasy VII for download on a site, but have no idea how to get it to work. it's a .rar file, i don't know what file type that is, but it would be cool if i could get it working so i could have the first disc. & i'm using epsxe.
