A new DC emulator, or some progress on Chankast?

Please answer one of the two questions:

1. Is there a new, GOOD DC emulator in the works?

2. Is there progress being done on Chankast?

I'd really like to play the DC version of SFA3, but Chankast runs it horribly. So I need either a newer version of Chankast (I've got the latest one), or a new one that can run the game pretty well.

Chankast is on a break, but perhaps for good
