Playstation 2 Vs Gamecube Vs X-box

I hate kiddy games and small controllers, but I have a GameCube and I like it. Nice criteria, idiot. I guess that makes you wrong.

Stop trying to create terrible criteria’s that will tell us which system best fits us based on two unimportant facts about each console. It just makes everyone angry.

my xbox's powersupply died after i had modded it. It infact does have the best hardware but in my opinion, only a handfull of decent games. these good games however will blow your mind with there amazing graphics and gameplay. the xbox is the most powerful system out and its alot of fun with its multiplayer games. It also has support for many lan games so you can play with up to 16 people at once localy! there are also free services to play online with like xboxconect.
so if i were to rate things out of 10

other factors: best controls for fps . amazing graphics . comes with two games and live service . easiest to mod . best to mod . few great games

the gamecube is a steal! it is the cheapest system and has quite a number of decent games. the controller is a bit dificult to get used to, but its not impossable. and about the only games that are "childish" are by the developers Nintendo themselves. I honestly think that just because a game doesnt have blood or explosions or zombies that eat your brains dosnt mean its not fun. this is probably your system of choice for the holidays. it lacks in online games, in fact it only has 1 online game.

The ps2 dosnt have amazing graphics but it gets the job done. it has the best developers and most games suporting it. it has (most of the time) free online games.

The dreamcast is far from dead. anyone that wants to develope software for the dreamcast is free to do so. it does have a large library of games however you not going to find many of them any more. you can download the games for free though! lots of emulators for it. the dream cast is awsome!!!

You're right, the Dreamcast is the coolest, Jet Grind Radio, Shenmue, both are my two favourite games of all time. Crazy Taxi is awesome, as well. I have to get a new controller soon though, since my other one is busted

hi guys.i played the ps2,x box and gamecube and i think the ps2 is the best.moslty all of the x box games are on ps2 anyway i just don't know then big dill about it.the new ps3 will blow the x box oyt of this world.yes ps2 has better games.yes x box has better loading and graphics but the x box always stuff up.so keep on saying what is better i don't care.ps2 al the way.And mpst of the people i know have a ps2 B)

But by then the X-Box 2 will be out and it will kick two shits out of the PS3, no?

I think all of you are going to be happy just buying a very nice pc, souping it up, buying the best games (most likely for a better deal than the console game prices), and playing with the ultimate console - one you can customize any time.

GameCube has a shortage on game releases, but most of them kick ass.

Playstation II has an overflow of games, and most are crappy. Though, once in a while, a good game does come out.

XboX is a worthless piece of dog feces. The only good games are Halo and Kotor, and Halo got old. It's a pathetic attempt at a New Generation Console, and Microsoft should kill themselves in the most painful possible way known to mankind.

And besides, the most games I buy for my Gamecube are Sega games, for example, I am going to get Skies Of Acradia soon.

if your going to buy a console and you dont already own a gamecube, try it out this holiday! I dont think you will be disapointed. The graphics are comparable to the xbox's and the loading times are a little faster than the ps2 (in my opinion). if your looking for online play i really recomend the ps2. I dont hate the xbox, in fact i think its a great system, but the lack of origonal games just kinda ruins things...

and dont forget the dreamcast cause its the coolest B)

I want Skies of Arcadia Legends but was only released here in limited numbers. :msn_cry:

Also I agree with The Hedgehog but the X-Box only has a few games that interest me like Dead or Alive 3, Jet Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon Orta etc

The original playstation was popular but saturn was better(in terms of hardware).

How was the saturn better (in terms of hardware)?

GameCube- You all knew I'd say this is better... Melee.

PS2- Has turned me off of Playstations. The one I have is a piece of siht. Constant problems with running games, like Marve vs. Capcom II, and Capcom vs. SNKII, and nearly every other game. I can't stand getting a faulty system...

x-box- Only has Halo and KOTOR, Halo is fun in 8v8 stuff. But, nothing other than these two games.

Nothing appeals me on XBOX...all action games...I know we need a healthy dose of action, but XBOX is almost all action.

Gamecube has the same problem. Also a lot of them are anime licenses (Japanese). I have to say that some games are fine, and many appealing games have just came out...like Viewtiful Joe. But I'm terribly excited about Tales of Symphonia - finally, an RPG with a grappling story that's just at par with other RPG classics for Gamecube. Character design by Fujishima Kousuke - Ah my goddess, Sakura Wars, You're under arrest, etc.

PS2 - well...I only play RPG's so...heh - it gets its fair dose of all types of games so no need to elaborate.

I don't really care about any 4th-generation consoles...as long as there's RPG epics.

I think almost everyone has a PS2, and get it if you haven't. Then I'd recommend Gamecube - nothing exciting from M$ this time. The focus is not on the hardware and stuff, it's on the games that are available. XBOX has the best hardware but the games on it are nothing like the other two consoles - PS2 has variety, and Gamecube has unique-ness.

(If you wanna play lots of good dating simulations, get a Dreamcast - a PS2 also works - you can get Da Capo and Memories Off for PS2, for example.)

(On a side note, XBOX is the toughest - last week a guy in Maryland fired a pistol at XBOX, and the bullet rebounded off the case - the XBOX was merely scratched)
