PSX controller wont work with BoF 3.

I just bought a smartjoy 2-player converter, and I've set up everything in ePSXe to the point of the game working perfect, but I cannot use my SCPH-1080 controller to play it. It just DOES NOT want to recognize it! The controller works perfect in windows control panel. Any ideas?

From what I know, the controller is digital, but why would this be an issue? Also, I notice that the picture in the controller section of ePSXe doesn't change to a standard non-stick controller. I don't know if that's significant. I've tried deleting the config folder in regedit, but no luck.

My bad guys, I didn't realise that I had to go to gamepad 1, then press the appropriate buttons on the PSX controller to program it. I assumed it was already done. Thanks anyway.
