Project64 problem

Hey, I have a problem with the N64 emulator. Okay, I downloaded it, and I downloaded a few ROMs for it (kirby, conker, mario). I inputed the control stuff. Problem is, the movement controls won't work, whatever I put them on they don't work. I even borrowed my friend's PC controler to try to make it work, and it won't. Whats the problem? Thanks.

Hi. Im not expert on this. But here goes:

go to the screen to configure your controller.

on the tabbed window, it says 'controls. Next tab says ' devices. click devices,then on the game pad window,scroll down to find your one.Then go back to the controls tab and it should let you configure it.This is so easy to forget.A lot of people do it ( i certainly did).I hope ive helped
