Help with VBA!

I just downloaded VBA, and when I download rom's and attempt to play them, the VBA screen grows than quits. Is there something wrong with my rom's or what? I was trying to get a pokemon red rom so i could play brown, and I might need help with how I work the system or where I can get good roms.

You can't ask for ROMs. I don't think it's a ROM problem, but something related to DirectX (video, audio and/or input). Make sure you have the latest DirectX version and try again.

well I wasnt really trying to ask for roms, I just wanted to see what you guys thought about what my vba is doing. thanks, Ill look up my directX

Yeah in almost any forum you go to it's 100% Illegal to post links to where to get roms

For example : OMG GET GBA ROMS HERE (Link)
That's 100% illegal.

I can only suggest you do your own work and google it or something.
