help please! gameshark codes & emulators

im new to the whole emulating thing. ive never used a gameshark before either. i figured since you can use it on visualboy advance i would give it a shot. however, they dont seem to be working. everytime i enter a "master" code it tells me i have the wrong game. please help!

you have to check the region of your rom usa or europe or japan one and check the right code for that region
