My controlers D-pad wont work with all arcade emus but works fine with all other emus

This is a very wird peoblem. All my arcade type emulators like Mame Kawakes Neorage and Nebula dont respond to my Dpad at all. They onley respond to my anolog stick on my controler. This is wird problem because every other type of emulator i have like Project64 Zsnes Gens Gbg and Fce ultra work fine with my Dpad. This problem onley occurs in arcade type emulators this is a very anoying problem because it makes the game very hard to play and i cant even play fighting game at all U_U. Im not stuipid or any thing i do go into controller config in the emulators to ty to remap the controls but still its no use. It simply wont let me configure the controls to work with my Dpad it wont even respond. Im using A Nyko air flo controler with the operating system windows Xp. Is there any fix for this? ide realy apriciate it if i could get some help thanks^_^

If the joypad is detected under WinXP it should work.
You do have "Enable Joystick Input" checked in MAME right ?

Exactlly, with you joystick already plugged, run MAME32 or any derivate:
"Options" -> "Default Game Options" -> "Controllers" tab -> check "Enable Joystick input", and make sure the "joystick axes" are also checked

About other emulators should be more or less the same, but you might also ask or read the emulators docs/help files

That dident work at all my D-pad still isent responding onley my joystick is..
Theres gotta be a fix for this. Its probly somthing with arcade emulators like serouisly every other type of emulator works with my D-pad except arcade emulators. could it be possible to fix this by edditing a file in my mame directory or maybe by adding a file that would make mame reconize my controlers D-pad?. thanks in advance

press tab during game play in mame and it should say input press enter where it says the directional buttuns and enter up for up or down for down with the d-pad. you get what i mean.

nope my joypad still dousent respond still onley my analogstick )-:. ooo yea and i already tried that a wile ago just tried it agein becuase you sugested it ^_^.

Isent remaping the controls the same thing as pressing tab anyway? if it is you should have read my first post when i said i already tried remaping the controls lol



Just spent a few hours testing every arcade emulator and all the versions of mame and still no sucess. On Every single one of them the emulator it dousent respond to my D-pad even when i tried to remape the controls. The D-pad still dousent work onley my analog stick works sadley U_U.

well my controller has a button that switches from analong to d-pad

Did you try to check your game pad drivers config?
