Problems with Suikoden 2!

HI ,
I have the original Suikoden 2 CD and wanted to play it on my computer because my television burned out
Well, I have followed all steps of configuration described in the Thread:

Now my problem:
Everything is fine just until the first battle ... the battle starts very slowly and the music is kind of wrong ( kind of slowed down too )
In addition the bars like "Fight" / "Defense"/"Run" ... etc do not appear.
This is the point I can't do anything at all and I have to close down the emulator.
I have tried out different Emulators/Plugins/Configurations... but with no result.
My computer has 2GHZ / 1024 MB RAM / ATI RADEON X700

I hope somebody can help me^^

Anyway, did you try ePSXe 1.6.0 with Pete's GPU plugin, Eternal SPU plugin?
