    Default Getting optimal FPS

Guess I'be been bitten by the PSX emulation bug again.. Looks like things have definitely improved since the last time I gave it a serious try..

My system can obviously pump out tons of FPS and keep the game running smoothly the whole time.. The problem I face is, how can I really lock it into a certain performance range? If I put a speed limit on things, I end up with stuff that seems to render slower than its potential.. However take the speed limit off and everything is way too fast to play.

Whats a person to do? FPS tips on keeping consistant speed, thanks.

I check the Use Frame Limit and limit Framerate to 60fps.
I haven't found a game yet that doesn't run OK.

I hate half of you...especially the dumb ones.
Some of you are on my blacklist and so shall be any asswife that tries to prove he's worth anything.
If this post somewhat offends your silly arse, then I proved my point.
You have been warned so don't cry to your momma about it later on...or any mods for that matter.

Depeding on the game, the slowdown is more or less unavoidable. There're some special game fixes that should help, but also "Off screen drawing" value on Pete's GPU. Some other emulators might work better, like PSXeven, SSSPSX, Xebra or pSX

Well I just wish it were more consistant.. I mean if you can uncap the thing and it runs at 200 FPS, I just don't see why they can't lower gap between capped and rendered FPS

EMulation has definitely come a long way though

If you prefer to any 3D games, that is.....

I normally do something on 'Fast' setting on any Pete's GPU plugin and limit the FPS (You can set it to 'Nice' setting as well). Then test it out, make it compared to each settings. Some sort like doing try and error until you satisfied with the result. It might be a pain to anyone unless you have a better graphic card or others to boost the game better.
