Thread: Problems using a controller in WinUAE

Default Problems using a controller in WinUAE

I downloaded the latest version of UAE and it's great. I have been playing Lemmings and Cannon Fodder (all mouse controlled games) etc. Nice, considering I can't be bothered digging my old A500 out the loft.

BUT - I bought a USB Competition Pro joystick (you remember them right!?) and I am having trouble using it in WinUAE. It's basically a generic 4 button controller. I can't seem to configure it in WinUAE though.

Any ideas? I also cannot use my Thrustmaster control pad. I know it's just me not setting it up properly. Can anyone help me out here? It is possible to use pads in WinUAE right?

    Appreciate any advice.

    Thanks!

Yes, it's possible to use any DirectInput compatibe gamepad, as yours. Just by the case, make sure the pad is working for other emulators or games to know is detected. If doesn't work, you'll need to install the proper drivers. I tell you more about WINUAE input config (the windows port, so please use this) later, I'm at work now.
