RE2 and Project64... RSP hates the roms sound...

Just d/l RE264... the rom is fine but at first the FMVs wouldn't play and the 3d models depth was all wrong...

I installed a glide wrapper and glide64 onto my Emulator and the GFX are fine now... What I don't seem to be able to fix is the Audio, I have tried various plugins (Jabob and Azimer) and tried making the rsp send the audio to the plugins and not sent it. I even tryed an unofficial RSP file... but all that did was break the GFX again and not fix the sound.

Does any one know the best combination of plugins and RSP dlls to get this game working with sound? The music is fine but the sound effects often stutter and lag and although I managed to get the dialouge working very poorly once (forgot how) its generally not there.

Why won't you play Resident Evil 2 on ePSXe or PC ?
If that's the game you're talking about.

Don't know if you've tried any torrent sites or p2p programs recently but RE2 for the N64 is 62mb and has loads of d/l sources (it took me 45 minutes) both RE2 discs for epsxe weigh in at about 1 gigeabyte and the PC version I have yet to find.

The only way your gonna get a file that big is if you try and get something like the Ultima Version of FF7 your gonna be in for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong wait...

I've had Shareaza on now for 3 days solid and have about 17% of RE2 for the psx... so getting my N64 rom working may be slightly quicker... not to mention that other than the FMV videos it looks better and has more content.

I suspected that the size was the thing that was bothering you,but looking better and more content...sheesh.
I owned the original RE 2 both PSX and N64 version (just a port).Believe me FMV sequences count,a lot !

Thanks, I'm sorta new at this, if I don't click the send Audio list to plug in then will it actualy be the RPS plugin that does the work?

Please note that Resident Evil 2 is one of the N64 games that won't work fully in any N64 emulators, at least not for now.
