Help For FF7 plz

I can't get my FF7 playing correctly. I am using the cd to play it on ePSXe and I can't get the game to run properly. I fixed the speed but whenever I go into battle, the battle commands don't show up, the screen is just black at the bottom. The video and sound is a little glitchy too, lags a little. Any advice would be appreciated. ty in advance

Try GPU plugins like Pete's D3D, OGL or OGL2. Also enable the FF7 fix on "special game fixes". Using a higher value on "Offf screen drawing" should show more splash/menu screens. The "nice" default setting should work pretty good. Btw ePSXe v1.5.2 runs better than v.1.6.0 with this game
