Multiplayer MAME?
I'm starting to stack up some MAME files to try out, but I noticed that quite a few games have 2 player or 4 player versions of them - a la Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Turtles in Time (US 4 Players ver. UAA).
With other games I don't see the multiplayer tag that you'd want to play as multiplayer...Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for instance. Can you still play those games multiplayer, and can you play multiplayer versions alone?

Some games have problems when going multiplayer, but most of times would work. You can check the nplayers32.ini (unzip it on the mame32 "folders" directory, then run the emu)

Well ya. The 4 player multiplayer one is just another version for online play. You can still play 2 player versions also.Originally Posted by Cheetah
