I guess you're talking about MAME. It depends which game/driver you're trying to play. Press [TAB] -> "Input (This game)" -> look at which buton is mapped to test (sometimes service) mode.

F2 is default...usually.
F3 reset.
I hate half of you...especially the dumb ones.
Some of you are on my blacklist and so shall be any asswife that tries to prove he's worth anything.
